Boyish charms. Antioch, TN Newborn Portrait Photography.

Remember this gorgeous mommy-to-be? Meet her son! He was absolutely perfect last week when I got to meet him just a few days after he was born! After photographing only brand new little girls, it was a delight to spend the afternoon with this handsome little guy. His lips...his sweet smile...oh he will certainly have the girls chasing him! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I can't wait to see you again in six months!

Fourteen years.

Almost fourteen years ago, at the end of our junior year in high school, I met a woman who was a 'friend of a friend'. From the stories I had heard, I knew that she was kind of a crummy friend. I knew we were both going to Girls' State that summer from our school, but I was certain that I would not be speaking to her while there because I had already decided that I did not like her. So, I tried my best to be as polite as I could while she talked about senior parking spots and Girls' State, but I was barely listening to the woman who would eventually be the godmother of my children. At that moment, I of course had no idea that she would forever change my life, and that within a few short months, we would be very, very, best friends. Today, I affectionately refer to her as 'My Woman', and while we live entirely too far apart, one day soon we hope to be business partners and had better be living in the same town! For now, we endure the distance, frequently make our husbands miserable while we lament the distance, dream of the amazing wedding we will plan when my daughter and her son marry each other (they that were born six days apart!) and rarely a day goes by that we do not text, email or talk and usually its all three! Last week we spent a gorgeous afternoon together while I photographed her and her beautiful family. I love you, Woman! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Home Sweet Home.

Last week we headed home to North Carolina and spent a few days with friends and family. While there, I got to do quite a few sessions with people that are very dear to me. Here is a sneak peek with one of my favorite images from each session, with the promise of full, separate sneak peeks of each session to come in the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy these and I can't wait to work on each of these sessions! Love to you all!

Beautiful Belly.

I have discovered that there is not a whole lot that makes me happier than getting to photograph brand new babies with their brand new parents--but getting to meet these expectant parents might have made me smile even brighter then normal during these portrait sessions. There was so much wonderful energy from these two and she is going to give birth next week! They are so excited to meet their little one and are eager to see if baby is a boy or a girl! Enjoy your sneak peek and I will see you after your little ones debut!

Three and three-fourths months!

I plan to do an 'official' session with my sweet baby girl Ella, but this was as far as I got before getting sucked into playing Super Mario Brothers on the wii again!

Everlasting Eyelashes.

I have gotten to meet some beautiful babies and this little lady was no exception. Her eyelashes went on for days! I was honored to be able to take some of her and her parents first portraits together. I hope you enjoy these few images and I am excited for you to see the rest of the gallery!

Happy Hallo.....er, uh, New Year!

On New Years Day, Brody and I went outside so that I could work on taking portraits at dusk. He immediately said to me, "Come on, Mommy. Brody get a sucker." (Brody ONLY speaks in third person. Anytime he talks about what he wants, what he did, or what he will do, it's in third person. I. Am. Not. Exaggerating.)"What?" I asked. "Brody get a sucker," he said, and started walking to the neighbors house! Luckily, he was too shy to actually ring the door bell, but he was pretty darn cute in the process. In these shots you can totally see him saying to me, "Come on, Mommy! This way. Brody get a sucker!" Its hard to resist the little guy!

Sweetly serious, take two!

This little guy was patient enough to have me back a couple of weeks after I first met him and his mom on an entirely too dreary day. It was a much brighter day this time, and he even agreed play host to my sweet Ella and they had fun visiting with other during the session. Hope you enjoy this sneak peek and I am looking forward to more fun together with our little ones!
